26th April 2018 marked the fourth year of business for our local shop.
 
A lot has happened in this period.
 
What started off as a venture run by volunteers, we now employ a full time member of staff member and also four part-time staff. Volunteers still play a vital role in our success and if you have some spare time and wish to help, come along for chat.

 
As a social enterprise, the Community Shop also looks to help the local community. With Shareholders approval at the AGM, money is set aside to be granted to local community projects. Several organisations have been helped, but we are keen to hear from others.
 
We’ve recently expanded, with the Village Hall building a small extension to the front for our use. This allowed us to install new refrigeration units.
